    Hey guys,

Hows things? Does anyone know a good place that will do a cover up very well?

I've a tribal piece on my upper left arm, all black, which I really want to have covered. The story behind it was the guy who did it was only an apprentice, and I was never told, so it didn't turn out the best at all.

It's about 9/10 inches long, and about 5/6 inches wide.

Went into JMD's in Waterford and the don't want anything to do with cover ups.

Places I'd be looking at would be Zulu in Dublin, or tattoo zoo in Cork, or anywhere you guys would reccommend.

    Thanks a million in advance.

certain artists can be amazing in what they can do with a cover up, or even a fix on a tattoo, if the lines or so on need to be redone, this is one of those things where it is so important to look at the artists work online and ask questions, and do state you future plans as he could be one large tattoo combing the cover up etc

very hard to give you a defentive ans, i have a half sleeve that was a mess by going to the wrong artist the 1st time so it is so important to do your research

A genreral rule for cover-ups is that the new tattoo has to be bigger and darker (for areas directly covering the tattoo).
If you have a Neo-tribal or some similar tattoo you're probably better off considering a re-working of your tattoo as opposed to a cover-up (Cover-up would imply that you're looking to change your tribal into a dragon or some other image)

I don't even know if a rework would be possible, it's all very compact if ya get me. Not much space for a rework.

I honestly wouldn't care what they did as long as it looked good!

I've seen some really good reworked stuff just proper lines put in and kablamo looks like a different tattoo! if ya find someone good it would be nice to know, I'd like to find a tattooist that has a steady hand for black line work to touch up one of mine cheers!

As well as Tattoo Zoo in Cork, you should check out Tribal Ink, can't recommend them enough, they're on Kyle St, the street down the side of the Coal Quay by Peg Twoomy's.

Great guys in there, really helpful and a really high standard, if you're looking for a number, PM me :)
