    The iPhone is designed not

headset or car kit. To switch Bluetooth on or off:

    1. From the iPhone Home screen, tap Settings.
    2. Select General.
    3. Select Bluetooth.
    4. Tap On or Off.

    SMS delivery reports

At the moment the iPhone does not support delivery reports. Also
Vodafone does not currently support direct message delivery alerts. This
is when a string is placed at the start of an SMS and the SMS is sent.
    e.g.:

    *R* test message

The network sees the *R* and pulls that part out of the message and
sends a delivery report. As of yet Vodafone do not support this.

Have you installed the vodafone carrier file (via itunes)? When I installed it I lost the ability to make changes to the cellular data network settings. I ended up restoring my iphone so I could remove the carrier file as it gives me more flexibility to make changes to the settings.

if you can't see cellular data network settings then you can assume the carrier file has been installed.

Did you download Carrier Settings via iTunes? If you did that then it removes the 'celular data network option' meaning you can't use custom APNs...

you may get the option again to d/l carrier settings which you can ignore.... having said that I have never had that option in the first place despite restoring a few times...

If you restore the phone do you lose everything?

And why the hell does VF's settings not facilitate MMS by default!

When I restored a message popped up in Itunes saying a carrier file was available for download. I just cancelled that option and synced with Itunes as normal.
The carrier file should already contain all the required settings including those for MMS messages so I'd raise this with vodafone customer support before I'd go to the hassle of restoring your phone. The vodafone guys on Boards are usually very helpful. You can contact them here..

Anyone get delivery reports working yet on vodafone?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 336 ✭✭locha

Hi, I just removed my "CAll Forwarding" by entering the ##002# which worked a treat. The problem I now have is that my phone won't divert to voicemail and just keeps ringing out! Has anyone else experienced this and if so how do I fix it?
    Appreciate the help.

If you jailbreak it you can install a couple of apps to get it working :)

BiteSMS Grip and iPhoneDelivery will do the job.
