If it's still open Amazonia in City Limits in Oranmore is great for kids. Don't do really fancy food but food is lovely.

Milano's is regarded as the child friendly restaurant in Galway.

Kelly's (formally The Living Room) is a good place to bring kids.
If your children are behaved and stay in their seat (most of the time) the staff will chat with them, bring them whatever they want to eat and round off the dinner with a Babychino. If you ask nicely they might even bring you crayons! However - they do not tolerate kids running around the restaurant and Mom and Dad thinking its fine. It can get pretty busy in there.

    So Kelly's is out then!

If you're planning on allowing your kids to run around the place can you let us know where you're going so we can avoid? Thanks.;)

    McDonalds.

(I've been biting my tongue on this thread: It's a total waste taking small children out to adult-focussed places which they won't enjoy, and where they'll just annoy other people. Save it for when they're old enough to appreciate it, and have parties at home or in child-focussed places in the meantime. IMHO of course).

Weather permitting, I know it may not be quite what you were looking for but how about just wrapping up everyone up warmly and getting some take-away coffees and sambos and walking along the prom and stop and have coffee and a sambo at blackrock? plenty of room for everyone to run around and something a bit different :)

I recommend Lohans in Salthill. They're really good with kids and usually on a Sunday its packed with loud babies and toddlers so it doesn't really matter how noisy our fella is! It is a little on the small side so it can be chaotic at times but they are very nice in there.
