Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Somebody buy the poxy hard drive ffs!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,301 ✭✭✭airetam_storm

Its slightly smaller than other 2.5" portable drives since it's essentially the drive wrapped in a bit of thin plastic/silicon instead of a fatter case like most others. It is normally a lot more expensive but iboods price is the same as other 500GB portables so yeah its a decent deal, especially if the slightly smaller physical size is a plus to you.

yup, i bought one off ibood about 6 months ago and must admit its a great hard drive. Ya wont find this model cheaper around id say, amazon, ebuyer and ebay more expensive. Its pretty small too only awkward thing about it is the little usb cable it comes with is about 2/3 inches and could be easily lost or a bit annoying if ya need a longer cable. I presume the cable could be bought with a bigger length though.

    B~

Same size cable for the WD one I bought from Komplett. The wire from the gf's sat nav does the job though.

    It's batteries now.
Samsung Pleomax 74 Battery Pack with 5x10 Pack AA and 6x4 Pack AAA Batteries 12.95

Looks like good value but I can't bear to pay 12.50 for postage for an item costing 12.95.

I use loads of AA batteries. Should I but it?

    I just bought this
    4490_Qj_hi_1268211966.jpg
    for 49.95. It looks great.

Now I'll go and compare prices around the net and I hope I don't get a nasty shock...

Edit: The reviews are mixed and the price is just about standard, plus the stock level is creeping down really slowly. Looks like I bought the first turkey of the night.

49.95 isn't bargain of the week for that is it? Has anyone got anything decent at a good saving?

The Onkyo receiver earlier in the thread looked like a great deal. I'd have bought it.

I hope someone here bought the mystery box. I'd love to hear what's in it.

Judging by others years threads I think they do, be nice if they did the alarm clock again before I have to leave. One of the best bargains of the night. Currently £81.57 on Amazon (€94.90) http://www.amazon.co.uk/Medisana-Light-Alarm-Clock-SAC/dp/B001Q8R094/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=baby&qid=1268292083&sr=8-1. Compared to €32.50 delivered for those who were lucky enough to order in time

Internet radio for €62.45 delivered doesn't seem a bad deal.

Yes, I bought one. It has phono out and plays MP3s.

There was a wifi gaming hub that went in a matter of seconds.

its a piece of crap, I bought one in January and returned it - it had a mind of its own as far as switching on was concerned - too unstable

Argosy HV335T HD Media Player With Internal HDD Support

Anyone know if this is any good?

postage is ridiculous on cheaper items, should be a % and not a fixed fee

The one I bought for 49.95 is 8GB compared to the 16GB on this one. I'm happy to have saved the €20 because there's a memory card expansion slot.
