Used to adore Luyan - Briar Rose. It has gone downhill so fast since they reopened. Portions are smaller and last week we had a meal there - it was laced big time with MSG. My mouth and gut was raw from the stuff. Great to hear so many good reports about Panda Mama - must try it out. Agree with other posters - there are no really nice Chinese restaurants left. My sis loves Pearl River - but I am a bit suspect at the speed the food comes out at. Its not very authentic either. Any other suggestions???????

They've gone out of business. It's devastating. I've only just discovered the place! Best Chinese in Cork.

AHHH Balls! I was going to go there for lunch today!

They had great prices and were very nice. :(

Starvast is not closed. It closed for renovations but is open again. The decor is nice in there now.

China Gold on Patrick street looks like it's closed too.

It's not Star Vast any more, it's a new Chinese Restaurant with a new name.

Oh right, good to know. I'd been meaning to give it a try anyway.
