How much would the average indie worker by paid per match?

How long is a piece of sting?

Depends on the talent and how many fans show up.

Tyler Black earns $500ish a night for ROH and he would be on the upper end of the card.

Latest issue of PowerSlam mentions that Vince McMahon hates Randy Savage even more than Nailz and Ole Anderson. I understand the whole Nailz hatred after what happened, but what's the deal with Anderson? Is it simply difference in their philosophy on wrestling? Also, PS mentioned that they know of rumours why Savage and McMahon are enemies, but won't say what they are for legal reasons, nor even mention that they are just rumours because they dont want to give a rumour that may not be true some momentum. Anyone care to elaborate if they know?

If I remember right Nailz tried to kill Vince, then after claimed Vince was sexually assaulting him.

    What happened with Ole Anderson?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,128 ✭✭✭drayme

Back in the 80s, Ole Anderson had a conversation with Linda McMahon that got rather blustery (he called her the c word). Vince found out and told Ole that he would never work for this company, not that Ole ever wanted to work for that company. When it came time for some DVD interviews more than two decades later and they asked Ole to be involved, he shot them down saying how Vince told him he would never work for this company, and the last thing he’d ever want to do was make Vince a liar.

    From Wiki...

However, Wacholz was fired from the WWF in December 1992, reportedly after he attacked Vince McMahon in his office over a dispute over money, while John Nord watched the door. Bret Hart recalls that Wacholz "cornered Vince in his office and screamed at him for fifteen minutes". Bret notes that he was just down the hall from the incident when he heard a loud crash, which was Wacholz "knocking Vince over in his chair, choking him violently". The incident led to a series of lawsuits between Wacholz and McMahon. Wacholz fired the first shot, alleging that McMahon had sexually harassed him on a number of occasions; McMahon denied the claim, but Wacholz proceeded to file a wrongful termination lawsuit. The WWF filed a counterclaim against Wacholz, but later dropped the matter.

Wacholz later went on to testify against McMahon and the WWF when they were being indicted for giving their athletes steroids, saying that McMahon told him to take steroids and that he personally hated McMahon. According to the 2003 book WrestleCrap, his testimony included the comment "I hate Vince McMahon's guts." Wacholz's testimony backfired and proved a catalyst in McMahon's acquittal.

What has happened to the Hart Dynasty?

Natalya has lost her title and seems not to be in the title scene anymore. Not really an issue.

However I'm more interested in why DH Smith is now languishing in nothingness and more so whyTyson Kidd had his push abandoned after a week and has been buried since.

Why split them up and then bury them? Is it crappy WWE creative, WWE no longer needing to appease Bret or is it something else?

They didnt get over even when pushed.

The Observer said there was an incident somewhere but never has elaborated on that.

I would say that unfortunately thats exactly the case.

Vince made his money from them this time last year so now they will probably just fade away again.

It seems to me to be a mix of things.

*They no longer need to apease Bret.
*They constantly break up tag teams and go nowhere with them; WWE doesn't care about it's tag division in the slightest.
*Kidd is obviously the more athletic but is small so is screwed in WWE as a singles wrestler.
    *Smith has no personality whatsoever.

It is no doubt going to be a pay-per-view event on Sky Box Office due to Royal Rumble being a PPV. They make their biggest profit off Mania when it comes to buys.

You can get it on UPC. Its not Sky Box Office but its a PPV channel I think before the info channel.

Do WWE is have a dress code?

They used to but they've dropped it. Post-Benoit WWE got on everyone's tits to wear suits while travelling (even though Cena, Taker etc didn't have to conform); CM Punk got reprimanded and fined for (excuse the pun) not following suit. He said it was hypocritical that Cena and the rest don't have to. So now he wears what he wants. WWE realised how stupid the rule is (not to mention how phoney it looks for someone like Punk or Hardy to go around in a suit) it quietly went away.

oh i know this one :) yes they do. all the wrestlers have to dress smartly except for john cena and i think undertaker too. something to do with them being aloud to dress similar to their gimmick or something

Was it confirmed that it was Taker kicked up a fuss over Punk's clothes? At the time I heard some say it was Taker and others say it was Matt Hardy acting the jealous twit because Punk started seeing Lita.
