When you order a WWE PPV on UPC can you order it in HD?

We need a PW Boards.ie Back Garden Wrestling show, starring Colt Cabana and Mick Foley....

We need leggo to make it happen!

i keep hearing about something called Wrestleicious. what is that? is it some kind of wrestling themed porn?

Wrestleicious. what is that? is it some kind of wrestling themed porn?

It's a campy women's wrestling show featuring Jimmy Hart and some lad who won the lotto (and fronted the cash). It's like GLOW, completely cheesy with strong gimmicks and awful wrestling. TBH they did sell me with the intro rap.

it's not porn but it's not far off. apparently that JV Rich guy in the rap song there won the lottery and funded the show with his winnings. the shocking thing is that the wrestling is actually really good. about 80% of the girls are indie wrestlers and the likes of Daizee Haze, Mercedes Martinez, Serena Deeb, Jennifer Blake and Madison Rayne are all playing characters on it. it came out around 2010 so it was miles better than what the Divas and Knockouts were churning out at the time

Just You-Tubed some of the matches. Good Lord that commentator is awful. I can actually feel myself becoming less intelligent listening to him. The wrestling itself is pretty good though but the gimmicks...it makes NXT Season 3 look like an Emmy winning drama

Can anybody give my an idea of what the WWE schedule was like 10, 15 years ago? Today I think it works 4 days on and 3 days off between Raw and SD, obviously international tours disrupt this. WCW used to run a part time schedule for big stars and I hear that along with the money was as major reason for guys jumping ship.

If you are subtly trying to find wrestling themed porn (BUSTED! :P), NWWL would be a better place to start.

Is it? I'd certainly avoid any porn with that name :P

is there any wrestlers who've spent a proper length of time in the WWE (eg. 5 years+) and never turned face/heel?
I was thinking maybe Rey Mysterio might be one, but am open to correction on that.

Cena of course! Ziggler's never been face throughout his various incarnations. Kelly Kelly's always been face. Shawn was face ever since returning in 2002 :)

Wasn't John Cena a heel for pretty much the majority of 2003? When he originally started the rap gimmick he was a heel and then turned? And wasn't Shawn in the NWO for a bit? And then he had the stuff with Hogan for the Summerslam match? I can only think of Rey and Tommy Dreamer.

Yeah, Cena was heel from late 2002 to October 2003. He turned face and was part of Benoit's Survivor Series team against Big Show.

Shawn was heel from May to July 2002 in the nWo and also from July to August 2003 for his run with Hogan.

Most wrestlers don't get to go home until Wednesday and are back out on Friday morning.

If a wrestler works RAW but doesn't work Smackdown tapings he'll only get an extra day off if he isn't required to do some form of media or filming in Stanford.

    It was usually -

    Saturday - House Show.
Sunday - House Show or PPV.
Monday - Jakked/Metal taping and live Raw.
Tuesday - Sunday Night Heat and Smackdown tapings.

Occasionally there would two house shows run on Sunday nights in different cities.

And if there was a PPV on Sunday, then there normally wouldn't be a house show on the Saturday night before.

Actually, they would work a larger than usual venue for a house show the night before PPV. Capitalising on the usually host buzz from the go-home TV shows.

Yep, I had only checked the list from 2000, where they only ran Saturday house shows 3 times before a PPV that year. I see that it became a monthly occurrence from mid 2001 after they bought WCW and the roster was enormous.

I guess they actually could have ran 7 nights a week with 3 different rosters it was that big back then!

For those who haven't seen a heel John Cena, check out his feud with Undertaker in 2003. Some epic promos.

Has there even been a generally agreed upon best episode of Raw or Smackdown?

Contemplated starting a thread on it, would make for good viewing. Chances are the episode would be somewhere out there online.

One of favourite Smackdown episodes is from Feb 2001 and was called Smackdown Xtreme. I've heard Paul Heyman had a hand in booking it but I'm open to correction this. Anyone remember it? Here's the card

Tables Match for the Tag Team Championships
Dudley Boys vs The Hardy Boys. Ended with a Bubba Bomb off the stage and through a table. Crowd were really into both teams.

Triple Threat match for the Women's Championship
Ivory vs Lita vs Jacqueline. Three very competent ladies doing what they do best. This not Kelly Kelly fare.

Edge and Christian vs Kai En Tai The Acolytes
E&C are at their goofy best and expect a handy victory. However, Taka Michinoku and Funaki come out and say (in the hilariously dubbed voices) that they are unable to compete due to a rash. The APA replace them and destroy everyones favorite Canadians. INDEEEEEED!

Extreme Open Challenge for the Intercontinental Championship
Chris Jericho calls for anyone in the back who thinks he's extreme to come and take a shot at the champ. Tazz obliges and cuts a good promo on Y2J. I really enjoyed the match, perfect for TV and both looked strong.

The Kat did a strip tease but was stopped by Right To Censor.

    Billy Gunn vs Big Show
    Ok, they weren't all classics!

    First Blood Match
Brothers of Destruction vs Rikishi and Haku. This was something different and I liked it. Four big lumps knocking the s*** out of each other in an effort to see some juice. I like it. Kane and Taker picked up the win. Taker as the American Bad Ass here, by the way.

    WWF Title Match
The Rock vs Kurt Angle vs HHH. Tell me that's not a PPV match?!?!

My favourite RAW ever was from May 1999.

HUGE main event of Steve Austin, The Rock & Vince McMahon vs. The Undertaker, Triple H & Shane McMahon.

Watched it back and it's not the best, but I've just never been so excited and caught up in an episode of RAW before.

Ohhh to be an 11 year old during the Attitude Era before the internet got in the way again!

Was a great PPV match, headlining SummerSlam 2000.

Do championships ever change hands in house shows? If they don't why advertise as a championship match when everyone knows the outcome.

AJ has beaten Eve on several recent house shows, but Vickie reversed the decision each time.

Title changes do happen, just very rarely and they usually swap back before the next TV show.

Edge won his first Intercontinental Championship on a house show back in 1999 from Jeff Jarrett.

Bret Hart won the WWF Championship from Ric Flair on a house show in 1992, if you can grasp that one!

The Hardcore Title used to change a lot on the road towards the end too. Nearly everyone on the roster had a reign.
