Android 2.1 settings - MMS- Meteor

Has anyone running Android 2.1 on a Nexus had any luck getting MMS to work on Meteor ?

Here's what I've tried that hasn't worked, unless I'm missing something

The Tech n Life article is incorrect, as it states that the WAP APN should be used for MMS, however, the Meteor forum link shows the correct APN to use.

I can't see why you are unable to send/receive MMS, given the settings you've entered. I probably know the answer already, but I've got to ask, can you send/receive MMS with your sim in another handset?

Yup, sure can. Followed the Meteor settings to the letter too.

Which is it? The official 2.1 on the Nexus, or the hacked Eris ROM on the Hero? I know there are MMS issues on the Hero ROM, so you might be chasing your tail for nothing.

My apologies if the information is contained in those links, I'm having some trouble getting them to open but, is the Android 2.1 update now available, officially? I thought it was still some time off?

Nexus, but i assumed it will be the same for other handset once upgraded ?
Maybe I should edit me post before a deluge of Hero types kill me thread.

Got the meteor settings above to work.
Need to change the password for the mms section to "meteor"

That's odd, as I thought the Meteor APNs didn't require passwords; test it out with the Data APN and you'll see.

Anyway, glad to see you got it working.

There is no offical 2.1 update for the Hero yet, but it is meant to be out sometime this week. There are unoffical 2.1 ROM's out there which people have been using. Im with Meteor but cant open MMS texts and these instructions are'nt followable my Galaxy Mini 2.1?. How do i determine if my phone is nexus or whatever type it is?.
Can i get this fixed?
