    Remember this white elephant at the Arás? Irish diaspara invited from all corners of the globe back to their home town to share their knowledge on what Ireland could do to get itself out of the mess that it was in (and still is!)

    WTF came out of this :confused:

    I'm guessing not one recommendation or harsh truth has been implemented. Would love to do an FOI on this to see how much it cost the taxpayer because I for one have yet to see anything come out of it. The poor sods that attended must have walked away thinking Ireland is proper fcuked with this shower at the helm :mad:

    Maybe you should direct your query to David McWilliams.

    He tried to claim the credit for the whole gig.

    Then he tried to claim a lot more when he banged in a big invoice for his "services".

    Thankfully the powers that be, sent him off with a payment for "moderating" two sessions.

    I know a story about him giving an after dinner speech last year but lets just say he didnt stick to the script but still produced an invoice!
