Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The first work in progress shots for F1 2010 have been released. There are only 2 official shots so not much to go on. The new edition of Official Xbox Mag has an exclusive playtest too.

So what does everybody think so far. It's very early days but I think it looks great. I've been waiting nearly 4 years on a new F1 game and I'm even more excited after seeing these shots. There is a preview event for the game being held in England next Wednesday so expect a lot more info then.

Codemasters have just said September. I read somewhere else that it'll be released the weekend of the Singapore GP(24-26 SEP).

This season has the potenial to be the best season in decades. 4 world champs with cars that look capable of winning. Vettel, Massa and Rosberg also look good. Hope the Hulk has a great season too. Sadly Adam Carroll won't be anywhere near the F1 grid.

i dont think button should have left brawn (money grabbing bastard) to go to mercides brawn should take up where they left off last season

I don't think Button left for money. He seen that Brawn were struggling at the end of the season and Mclaren were improving. This years car isn't very different to last years. I don't rate Button that highly myself but i can see why he jumped ship as Red Bull were much better towards the end of last season.

The Career mode of F1 2010 is going to something very different from previous efforts. As i understand it you will have the chance to talk to the media after each race and have the opportunity to walk about the paddock too.

It would be awesome to be able to do your own version of Adrian Sutil's legendary interview after Monza last season

But isn't Formula 1 just driving overpowered tea trays around in circles?????
Tea trays that shatter at the slightest blade of grass?

Only joking, it looks very nice indeed, could be the first good F1 game since F1'97!
Wonder if it'll have a Wipeout mode?

The best grand prix game ever is Grand Prix legends followed closely by Geoff Crammonds Grand Prix 4.

I wish they kept these games going, there is a hard core race sim market there. I guess it's the same with combat flight sims. Bought Falcon 4 in '99. A 600 page manual and it took me months practicing to use the radar modes and weapons right to finally do some real missions. They just don't make them anymore.

There was 1 or 2 other decent F1 games on the PC back in '02 I think.

I hope codemasters come true on this, it's been too long since a good F1 game came along.

I really hope it doesn't play out like GRiD! As much as I liked that, I'd rather the arcadey handling be cast aside for something a bit more realistic and involving!

Codemasters should take leaf out of EA's book and have the game linked to the F1 website so you could watch clips of previous races or official live timing during race weekends. It's a pipe dream i know but it would be cool.
