Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi all

Outlook express decided to remove exactly a months worth of emails from inbox. Ive tried a few outlook express recovery tools and they find the missing emails but you have to pay for them to actually extract the messages or fix the dbx file.

Anyone know of an app that can repair/extract for free?

    Thanks

Well, whats actually happened is that OE has compacted your Msgs & you'll find it put the missing ones in your Windows recycle bin (Hope you haven't emptied it).

What you need to do is restore them, then you need to go to where they are located & you will see to of everything like your Inbox, outbox etc. You need to rename the restored files back to their original names overwriting the new ones OE added. You need to set your folder options to show hidden files before you will be able to see them in the Application Data folder.

thx gadgetman496, but unfortunately the messages have never been compacted and they are not in the recycle bin. The missing mails are from the 8th Feb to 8th March, every mail before and after is there!!!

    Any other ideas?

    Thanks
