Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I used to be a huge f1 fan but have barely watched it over the last few seasons. I really want to get back into it but I'm so out of touch, i really want to know who's driving for who and what the new changes are. Anyone know a good site or video to get a quick catch up?
    Thanks

To set the cat amongst the pidgeons:

Ferrari: As political and moany as ever. Now they've lost their dream team of Schumi, Brawn and Todt, and are lacking the X factor as a result. Massa's quite likeable - something of a nearly man of Formula 1. Alonso arrives with a big reputation and will be expected to produce. Disappointing last year, but look quick in testing.

McLaren: Hamilton's team, by all accounts. Two world champions, both English. Despite being around forever, Button has never really been spectacular. It will be interesting to see how he'll fare against his new teammate. Mercedes have also relinquished their hold on the team, moving to rivals Brawn.

Mercedes: Raced as Brawn GP last year, taking both titles. Run by Ross Brawn, they're well run and very cunning! Caused controversy last year with an innovative/illegal double diffuser, and left their rivals in the dust in the first half of the season. New drivers now, and a new partnership with Mercedes. An all German team, but it's all about Schumi this year. At 41, does he still have it though?

Red Bull: The noisy team of the big four. Two very likeable drivers and a well designed car by Adrian Newey. Vettel is young and quick, excellent in the wet. Webber is an old pro who finally started winning races next year. Very little team politics. Question marks over the power and reliability of the Renault engine.

Aside from that? Force India can trace their heritage back to Jordan GP. Sauber and Williams will also be familiar names to fans from years ago!

There was nothing illegal about it ;)

Exactly-Brawn brought up the loophole in the press conference early in the season, no one else jumped on it so he was just more clever than the rest of them.

You using your crystal ball again? :P;)

Zas, BBC showed a great summary of last season last Saturday(or Sunday) if you can get it somehow it's definitely worth a look. A quick synopsis would be.....Team just about to go bust, gets rebranded (Brawn) and then goes on to win it through Button. Previous years champion (Hamilton) driving around in a suped up go-kart. Skullduggery and cheating with Renault. One of the main drivers (Massa) nearly getting killed. The greatest ever driver (Schumi) trying to come out of retiring but not making it. Then he says he’ll be back next year. :pac:

watch BBC coverage, they fill it with all that kind of info, that while generally annoying for regular watchers would be good for someone coming back to it
