Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I've already written to the FAI requesting a change of venue because the thought of another Daily Mail Casuals Terror thread has me reaching for the noose already.

what are people's view on this comp?
I don't like it. With the league (prem and 1st div) teams already playing each other 3 times and two other cups (FAI and EA) there is enough ties already and not alot of teams so they are playing each other way too much.
I know this is an old competition resurected but I think it should have stayed defunct.

For god sake we have already seen in the first week in the league:
    Bray Wanderers v Dundalk
    Bohemians v Sporting Fingal
    UCD v Drogheda United
and looks like we are gonna see the same teams again in the next round of this cup (maybe not ucd/united obviously)

Have alot of time for this competition and it's History.
Run by the Leinster FA so a legitimate reason for it to be played.

1 nil Shels, Corcoran, Half Time.

    Half-time entertainment:
For half time entertainment we have the Shels junior supporters club against their Bray counterparts. It's 1-0 to Bray so far!

    2 nil Shels, David Cassidy
...Ray Scully beat two defenders and put Cassidy through. 'Casso' the lobbed the ball excellently over Brian Kane from over 20 yards out.

Shels playing a very attacking formation, 3-4-3?

    3 nil Shels, Marc Hughes.
.Hughes just slipped the ball past Kane after being put through by Cassidy. Another great goal.

    4 nil Shels, Mark Leech.
Scully fed McGill who crossed for Leech to head the ball in.

They'll be dancing in the streets of Shelbourne tonight, FT Shels 4 - 0 Bray

Shels 4 nil victory coming off the back of a 4 nil defeat to Limerick at the weekend.

Against another strong line-up. Would have been shocked to see anything less with silverware on offer. 90%+ of clubs won't win any this year, we've just made sure we have.
