Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

My trusty old banger has finally let me down and is for the scrap heap.
Need a new car and was looking at a 2006 Mazda 6. It is very high spec 1.6 has 100,000 miles.

they are looking for €6,000. Is that a good deal. Anyone have one, what are they like. I'm assuming because they are Japanese I will get another 100,000 miles out of it hopefully.

    Any comments appreciated.

    Presuming it's a 1.8 if it's a 6 as there was no 1.3.

If it's been propoerly looked after and you're getting it at a cheap enough price to cover the loss in value when you try to sell it on because of the mileage then why not. I really would be looking for a FSH though

The Mazda 6 was never available with a 1.6 litre enigne, the smallest engine was 1.8 litre. They are generally very reliable except for the 2.0 litre diesel which was a disaster.

As with any car have it examined by a good mechanic and verify the service history with the garages that serviced it before buying.
