Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Zero reaction from gerrard or kuyt tonight. But they stay on.

Gerrard has at least contributed something.
Kuyt has done absolutely nothing. I don't think he has touched the ball ten times.

Peno not given - lucky Carra

Terrible goal in how it was conceded.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,153 ✭✭✭everdead.ie

Wow how did reina not save that

Difference between Keane and Torres is he doesn't get booked for winging because he doesn't come across petulant juat a whiner

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26,519 ✭✭✭✭noodler

No one will ever come close to Keane level of whinging at officals.
    Keane is the master whinger.
    Torres is nowhere near close.

Keep believing that if you like.

    Torres is well up there.

    anyone surprised?

positive spin on this, i dare someone.

babel off, and dirk and stevie remian undroppable it seems.

i don't for the life of me understand what the management see is wrong with what the team is doing, and why the f*ck week on week nothing is done about it.

isolation of Torres up front, no grip on the game, no fluidity in midfield, stevie and dirk contributing nothing.

    are they blind or stupid?

This is very bad....one goal from Lille next week and it's season over!

Not saying Torres doesnt have a whinge sometimes but no-one will ever get close to Keane.

one of those the keeper cant go for and it goes in back post

carra extremely lucky not to give a pen away before that

this season just goes from bad to worse, almost got a little worse there!

Positive spin is that they didn't just score a second.

Feck it was nearly 2-0 :(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,435 ✭✭✭✭redout

This kind of reminds me of the season United got eliminated from the group stage and didnt make the Uefa cup.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 25,560 ✭✭✭✭Kess73

Ahh it was Agger not Pepe that got the touch

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,910 ✭✭✭✭whatawaster

    El zhar. It's f*cking insulting

I'd honestly give anything for a 30 minute off the record chat with Rafa, just to try to understand...

and any confidence there was, is completely gone with the goal it seems.

ha, El Zhar. at least Dirk's off.

    40 minutes too early mind.

    We are going out imo.

We will concede at Anfield and I don't think we will score 3

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 27,349 ✭✭✭✭super_furry

Tactical masterstroke from Benitez there. Leave it until three minutes from time to take off a player who has done nothing all match aside from giving the word 'lumpen' a new definition, and even then, leave your £18 million player on the bench.

I'm at work and following the text updates, but it's really near the end of Rafa's reign now isn't it? Hard to type that, very hard. :(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26,519 ✭✭✭✭noodler

It all started when he sold Keane........or was it Alonso.....or Arbeloa...or as far back as Crouch.......what I wouldn't give for just one of them this season.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,996 ✭✭✭✭billymitchell

Watch out Lille, here comes El Zhar
Bloody Riera has been muck since he came on

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,983 ✭✭✭leninbenjamin

Lads, a thought has occurred to me. Considering how **** Pool are and Rafa's seeming reluctance to do anything about it, could he be trying to force the hands of the American's? i.e. He knows the games up, but doesn't want to walk because of the bumper compensation he's entitled to?

    here's positive spin.

Stevie looked moderately interested this half.

At least going out of this would keep us fit for the league games.

    oh yeah, Aquilani.

    forgot about him.

watching El Zhar go on must have left him feeling pretty insulted.

    'A' Donkey offside, no surprise.

    we have a winner!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 25,560 ✭✭✭✭Kess73

So the next installment on Aquilani gets paid in June. That will bring it to 15 million paid out on him with a final instalment of €5 million to be paid in June 2011, and he still doesn't get played.

What did Sneijder cost Inter during the summer. €14 million I think.

    Dirk Donkey offside, no surprise.
    has he not been subbed?

    f*ck me Stevie.

good tackle to stop him to be fair.
