The police station is also completely inspired by Blade Runner. This is only a good thing.

One of the usernames in the police station is RDecard.

yeah the apartment was great. the cigarettes next to the computer recalls the trailer nicely, the broken mirror and silhouetted blinds were nice touches too.

The broken mirror was a nice subtle touch, especially when you find out why it was smashed in the first place! ;)

exactly, love the way it was eventually revealed. not a big thing really, but adds a nice element of humanity to Jensen. :)
That receptionist is a goddayum biatch tho

Oh the intricate ways I dealt with her attitude problem! :D Wasn't so smart when I freddy kruegered her ass with the lethal takedown.

Ha ha ha loved the crossbow, especially the death animation when pinned to a wall. just little details like the head dropping and eyes closing after twisting around the impaling object added a nice effect to using it *I'm not a psychopath I swear* :D

    6. New game+?

Nope. When you're done, you're done. Although you can play again in a completely different way.

I never found out why it was broken. What was the reason and how did you find out?

For some reason? It looks almost identical to it, I would imagine is the reason.

I think the apartment reminded me more of Tyrell's office, though it's been a while since i saw it.

Think i'll watch it again tonight :)

That's at least the second great action-RPG he's been namechecked in (also in Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines, there's a Nosferatu hacker named Mitnick:

dunno if this game scored highly for the story first n foremost, ideal if a book but with a game I want a better engine to prop it up? n I felt Deus Ex: HR deserved better.

I was expecting something groundbreaking. evolutionary if not revolution - my bad. it deserved so much more, felt like an old game IMO. got an awful whiff of duke nukem forever the moment I brandished my 10mm

  • Registered Users Posts: 492 ✭✭Sl!mCharles

    I loved that 10mm

  • Business & Finance Moderators, Entertainment Moderators Posts: 32,387 Mod ✭✭✭✭DeVore

I think I've killed almost everyone with the silenced laser-sighted 10mm. Its awesome!

In fact I have barely used the other guns and found some of them a bit "samey" (like the machine pistol, the rifle and the heavy rifle... all pretty much spray bullets with slight differences). I like the revolver which I've just picked up (I didnt bother with it before because I had the 10mm).... I like the shotgun but I dont like the look of it (what was wrong with something double barreled?). I used the sniper rifle once and while its good, I actually have found almost no use for it, and nothing I cant take out with the 10mm.

I love to create new constraints for myself rather than achieve someone elses "workfare" achievements. I'm playing this game through without upgrading dermal armour so that while I allow myself to be "lethal" I cant get into a firefight and just run-and-gun. Probably why I've been sneaking and headshotting with the 10mm :)

I've just gotten back to town and
there's a riot going and I spoke with Taggart
. What percentage have I covered? I'm thinking a little over half... ?

Managed to break the game, the bit where you upload the virus into a security computer terminal... I had already hacked that terminal so when I access it again nothing happens with the virus... :(
    Halp!

Anyone else spot the nod to the US version of the Office in Shanghai? Emails from
Dwayne, Jim and Abigail about changing a screen saver to animal porn and stealing a stapler
    :D

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 23,556 ✭✭✭✭Sir Digby Chicken Caesar

the stapler thing was a reference to office space, not the office.. didn't get the animal porn reference, dont like the us office

devore you're coming up on the end iirc, but it's not just around the corner or anything..... well it is, relative to the overal length of the game

You're getting close to the end now probably 75% of the way there. Still a few hours left though ;)

for anyone having trouble with the namir fight
    spoilers, obviously

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,997 ✭✭✭Grimebox

My weapons of choice were the stun gun and revolver. I never found an extra silencer for the 10mm :( Sniper rifle was fairly rubbish imo. The game is not open enough warrant the massive amount of space it takes up

    Heh, were they Canons?

    I just
hit him with the Typhoon and dropped a load of frag mines around the room as I ran away. He was dead in seconds.
