it'll be on the door jamb and there should be a visible VIN on the windscreen.

its also on the VLC or Certificate of Ownership or tax book or whatever you want to call it.

If your looking for the proper VIN on a Fiesta its stamped on the floor under a little plastic cover under the drivers floor mat.

Also it is no harm to check that the chassis number of the car matches the one quoted in the VLC (log book).
