ASOS Returns q?

Sorry to have to post this here but can't find anything related to it on the ASOS site. A pair of jeans arrived for me yesterday and I tried them on, were a poor fit and want to post it back to get a refund. However the tag that the designer would staple/stick to the waist of the jeans with the measurements, I took it off. It's not ripped or in anything, but it's not in the jeans and in its "original form" so I'm a bit hesitant to return it back if it might be a long-drawn out process and ultimately sent back to me. Has anyone had any similar issue with a card or slip an item comes with?

Is the Asos "do not remove" tag still on it? Its a large red triangle. I think your ok if that's still on it? Maybe email customer support to be sure.

i returned a pair of jeans last year and it was a very painless process.. i emailed them fiest explaining that the jeans ripped at the seams on the second wear.. all tags were gona etc.. and they had no problem refunding when i returned them for them to review.. i had the money back within the week, id advise to email them first before sending :D
