The only way to not get ripped off is to keep your eyes open and simply spot a scam. Complain to the company and they will soon learn.

Luckily this forum is here :D

I bet they get ripped off in there as well, but not necessarily in the same way that we get ripped off out here.

People could setup local coops, using a no profit company, but I expect the pigs would take over again aka animal farm

Do you have a particular example you'd like to share?

Theres a starter for you here, most of the coop stuff I've seen is about local produce i cant see why it couldn't be for everyday foods, needs volunteers to run it, and in thses times would be beneficial i reckon.

Take your money out of the jurisdiction :) If enough people do that the retailers etc etc will have to react.

If you can't do that don't spend your money in shops that are overpriced.

    To where?

If its the USA, remember higher taxes & average $8,000 a year health insurance.

If's its the UK, £3,000 average in rates & water charges.

If its France - average 22% higher paye taxes!

Overall having lived and worked in 4 countries over the past 20 years, the costs of living based on earnings, / taxes, & cost of goods / services are near enough the same in most developed countries. - Though I did find the UK to be by far the country where the least amount of money was left after all costs.

Open your eyes before buying something? Do a little research. Shop online. Shop outside the state. Take responsibility for your own actions. Etc, etc. Not everything is a rip off.

I have tried it , people (companies) didn't want to get a bargain cause i wasn't Irish  or maybe i was in the wrong industry and instead should open another supermarket :D or something of that kind..
