Hey guys, got two replacement 9800gx2 1024MB cards from hardwareversand that I've to sell but I've no idea what they're worth realistically. I've looked up some prices but its hard to be sure.

I'm not trying to sell them here, I just don't know much about computer hardware and I'd appreciate your input.

    thanks

There's one on eBay that might be worth keeping an eye on to see what it goes for.

doubt you would get that for one( maybe if OP sold to a non techie ), a good nvidia 260 216SP is just a tad slower than a 9800gx2( in most cases upto 1920x1080 the 260 beats it, above that res the 9800GX2 wins ) - http://www.guru3d.com/article/vga-charts-december-2008/3

If i was offered one id probably pay 80-90euro for one. I sold my 6 month old nvidia 260 for 100 euro but that was in october and a lot has changed since.

80-90 would be a bit below what I'd expect to pay for a second hand one in fairness. I'd say 120-140 would be a fairer evaluation.

    80-90 for maybe a GTS250 or 9800GTX+ / HD4850

I wish I had bought your 260 for 100 in October dude - I think you did yourself a disservice there...

    lol, not really 100 euro + 260 = 5850 :D

thing is i would much prefer a 260 to a 9800gx2( ok that would be my choice, however i always prefer single card solutions ), nvidia increased the 260's price since november( back then they were selling for 120Sterling for a decent one, now you can get the palit one for 137 or the Point Of View for 140 ), damn expensive.

My point on the 9800gx2 is that excluding the hyper inflated prices from nvidia the card isint actually worth much. Compared to a 260 its hot, requires more power and doesnt improve performance unless youre running above 1920x1080.

If OP can sell it high, me just being an enthusiast wouldnt pay that as its old, very old in gfx card terms.

Depends on what it's being used for as well. The GX2s are a very popular folding card. You get a folder looking for a new card, and they'd pay a bit extra for a GX2. ;)
