Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I bought an Ipod Nano over a year ago. Just starting to use it now and it will not switch on unless it's plugged into the laptop. I've restored it on Itunes, have the latest software on it and when i press the middle and menu button, noting happens. Yet it will turn on and do everything when attached?

    Any suggestions
    Please Help!

Sounds like the battery needs charging. Are you getting any low battery warnings and does the battery status icon show the battery as being fully charged or near empty?

Hi thanks. I charged the ipod over night to make sure it was not that. Could the battery be frigged after it was not used for a year since bought. It wasn't even charged when bought so i assume there is retiailers out there with stock older than a year.

It is always possible the battery could be stuffed.

Does the battery status indicator give any idea of the amount of charge in the battery?

I seem to recall reading that completely drained batteries can take a couple of attempts at charging and use to get working again.

Apple reckons the batteries need to be cycled once a month:
