Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

eBay seller had Canon Digital Rebel Xt and Tamrom 18-200mm for sale (no kit lens). Neither had IS. Is this pointless and would end up with a lot of shake/blur?
As in if ny body doesn't have should the lens I buy always have IS?

    Ended up selling for €222.

Think of the days when IS didn't exist,I've been doing photography for three years now and never even considered an IS lens

There were lots of sharp images taken before IS or VR was around. The Canon & Nikon DSLR Bodies do not have IS or VR in them, it's in the lenses. So if you bought that package & wanted IS then you would need to have bought an IS lens.

Surely if you were gonna be using it at 200mm you'd have a tripod or monopod anyway?

No. I use my 200mm handheld 90% of the time.
