Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Question about names

Why is it that names change when speaking Irish? I never studied the language but it just seems strange to me that when I am being referred to in Irish, my name would be said different to what I see as my actual name.

My name is pretty Irish (although an anglo version I guess) but I would expect to be referred to as my accepted name in any country in the world. Why so, do people's names change when spoken in Irish? Does this happen in any other language in the world?
