Drinking VB and Tooheys New with a gang of Irish living close to each other aroudn Darlign Harbour, incl a girl I met the night before who went on to become my wife, in a very busy Pyrmont Bay Park looking out at Sydney Harbour bridge and the amazing fireworks that night.
Plenty of booze that day and games of pool in The Quarrymans Hotel and the PBH, lovely food at The Fish Market, a nice nap in the late afternoon before heading to the Offie for the beer and then on to the park.

    Great memories

I was 17 and I got roped into babysitting for a neighbour. They didn't have Sky, so I ended up watching The Bill and then the Graham Norton Show. My dad called over just after midnight to let me know that the computer was still working, what with the whole Y2K thing 'n all.

I was 17 and just hanging around out and about with my friend. Then we ended up in a house party at one of my neighbours.

The house was packed mostly of the lads and girls from the group older than us, say around 20-24. Then the mother of the house who we knew very well came back drunk and singled us out. She kicked us out saying that we were too young to be there. We were fuming because she made a big show of it.

A few days later we saw her and we were giving her the cold shoulder. She came over and said 'awh I'm real sorry girls I didn't mean it.' I said to her 'Mark Johnson is the same age as me and in my class and you didn't you kick him out!!' She apologized again and we were ok then.
