Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi all,
    headin home to waterford next weekend and considering doing the vee climb from dungarvan and back via clonmel/rathgormack next sat morning if anyone wants to tag along, not sure how far it would be but imagine no more than 110/120km.

    moderately fit marathon runner turned commuter/ sportive cyclist.

    Norm average26/27km p hr

    Probably the best way to do it, the road surface on the Waterford side is quite bad while the Tipperary side is quite good, would make for a nicer descent. Last time I was up it anyway which was I think a couple of years ago now, who knows what it is like after the last couple of winters.

    I was up it twice last year, much prefer the descending down the Tipp side.

    I went up from both sides last week. I much prefer going up from the Clogheen side but the lads are right it's a nicer surface to go down as well. The Lismore road has survived the winter surprisingly well though it's still not great. A good alternative to it is to use the road from Cappoquin/Mellary by the Cats bar.

    @rothar, where are you based?
