I meant as in bands and gigs in pubs etc...

And also the un-official stuff :D

Good thing you specified that in your op. Oh wait....Seriously I don't get why people ask questions only to come back and say they meant something completely different.

    O. when you say you're looking for events that are happening in the next few days, we think parade, street performances etc.

Gigs, pubs-wise, there will most likely be trad in Tigh Coili's, Taffees and countless other pubs but you don't say what you're into? Check here for some info, might find something http://galwayentertainment.ie/spotted-out.html

Debatable. I wouldn't be ad about either. I guess they just found two bands that play every week in Monroes or somewhere, regular crowd etc. DJ will be good though.

In fairness lads, I have had brilliant and awful nights to (almost) all the bands mentioned!

Matter of taste (and quantity of what's tasted!) :p LOL

I'm afraid to go to town in case the parade is cancelled due to a last minute objection by An Taisce.

Lower Dominick Street near Monroes, at 12:30. It's in the Galway City announcement! :)

Yes. Roughly speaking to a Sunday timetable.

Bus Éireann don't appear to have said anything about Galway city, though have said this about inter-city services. Roughly Sunday + a few. (I am a few days behind on Google Alerts though, so may have missed something).

    City Direct say (http://citydirectgalway.ie/patricksday.htm):
First bus departing Cappagh Road will be at 10.45 and every 30 minutes thereafter. These buses will take Route 34, i.e. Cappagh Road, Ballymoneen Road Lower, Clybaun Road Upper & Lower, Rahoon Road, Shantalla, Hospital and University Road.

The buses will terminate at the Cathedral until the parade is finished (due to city centre road closures).

Once the parade is completed then our buses will depart Eyre Square at a quarter past and a quarter to the hour. These buses will take our Route 33.

Last bus departs Eyre Square at 7.15pm.
