Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hey folks,
First of many coming posts I fear. I am trying to finally learn a bit about how to use my own techy stuff, but honestly at present I know how to use my computer, but I can't problem solve at all.
I have a new iphone which I am trying to connect to my home wireless broadband. A friend set it up, I have the passwords, but have no idea which bit is what.
The iphone asks for ip address, which I can get and know what that is.
    Next bit is subnet mask/router/dns??
What I have is a very long series of letters and numbers, a pvc with an o wish a hash though it. A couple of what look like random numbers and what looks like my id and password.
Can anyone enlighten me as to what bit is what? Stupid questions I'm sure, but I'm never gonna learn unless I ask.
    Cheers.

You almost certainly have DHCP turned on on the router, so let that handle all of that for now. You can change it later when you're ready to.

The string of letters and numbers is probably the encryption key.

If you have the security password,
    On you iPhone:
    Settings>WiFi>Turn On>Select your broadband>Enter your password.

Like said above I dont think you have to worry about IP, DNS Subnet mask ect.
