I suspect that you are a bit early for the paltry view visitor attractions in Waterford/Wexford but here are a few sites that may be of help.

    http://www.wexfordtourism.com/

    http://www.heritageireland.ie/en/south-east/thejohnfkennedyarboretum/

http://www.rossadventureplaybarn.com/info.htm my kids (6 and 7) like this one - in New Ross.

http://www.leisuremax.ie/ Indoor bowling etc. etc in Wexford town - MacDonalds nearby and Multiplex cinema.

The Hook Lighthouse http://hookheritage.ie/ is also worth a look but I think it is grossly overated/overpriced and the Irish National Heritage Park at Ferrycarrig http://www.inhp.com/ on N11 a mile or two north of Wexford town can be recommended.
Johnstown Castle http://www.irishagrimuseum.ie/johnstown_castle_estate/johnstown_castle.htm outside Wexford town is also a nice place to visit.

A visit to Waterford by train (from Ballycullane station) along a scenic railway under threat of closure - be careful though only one train in each direction! Waterford is the doldrums too but there should be something to do: http://www.waterfordtourism.org/
Can't advise on meals out in County Wexford but keep away from the Zombie Hotels - stick with picnics and takeaways. :)

    Hi Thumper!
Congrats on the engagement. Are you going this weekend or the following weekend? the Eileen Aroon festival is on from the 28th July.

I'll be popping down there myself at some stage.

I'm heading to Rosslare for two weeks next Saturday so all of the above posts are really helpful. If anyone has any more suggestions they would be appreciated. 2 adults and 1 six yr old. We won't be on the go every day but will do a few picnics etc.
