Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I've noticed that there is a little play in my BB. I have just replaced the chain and cassette and I'm thinking of replacing the chainset. My bike is a couple of years old Trek 4500MTB. I was thinking of replacing just the bottom bracket but now think that replacing the chainset+bottom bracket would be a better idea.

I'm not really sure how to go about this. I'm pretty sure that the current setup is a Shimano Alivio (FC-MC20). Same asTHIS

I have a couple of questions,

Can I upgrade this to something like a Deore chainset? http://chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=40496
Do I need to purchase extra bearings or is everything included with a chainset?
    What special tools are required?

Photos of the offending item below. (Sorry for not washing the bike):o and thanks for any help.
