Easy way of using Flash on web site?

Hey Guys, this is my first post so I'll love a few responses. I've designed a web site with my friend and both of us are capable Dreamweaver cs4 users. To really make the site look modern and in line with with what's common to bigger site we'd like to have some flash box on our hompage, similar to what metacritic.com have or empireonline.com . Are there any good tutorials out there that you could send me in the direction of, or any nuggets of info you could send my way? Appreciate any help.Thanks.

If you are technically capable you should consider using jquery instead of Flash. It hogs less resources, is search engine friendly, degrades gracefully on older browsers, is fully accessible and a lot easier to edit when you want to make changes.

for flash
when you publish the fla you can get flash to create a html files as well you might get away with copying the appropriate code from that file and pasting it into a div

you will have to look after the filepaths yourself though.
