Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    hey guys, myself and some malware had a tussle on my regular computer and malwarebyes seems to have killed windows in the process of killing the virii. so upon pressing the power button I can get to the bios and hardware diagnostic but before windows gets anywhere at all I just get a bsod. the error code on the blue screen says its either a borked copy of windows or else a major hardware failure. the diagnostic at startup tells me that the hardware is fine so I require a fresh install of windows. Windows came installed and I didnt get a windows disc. I still have the product code so I presume If I can lay my hands on any old disc I can reuse that instead of buying a full new copy for loads of money.
    Point being, how do I go about legitimately getting a vista disc, or can I use the product license on a copy of 7?

    TLDR;
    I needz vista disc plzz

    Recovery partition?

    Though on Vista, they tend to be a 'repair' partition which doesn't have a full factory-restore image.

    Don't have a license key sticker?

    Tried that before, its pretty much useless.
    The recovery app doesn't have a full file-set for installing, all it can really do is apply a 'system restore'.

    You need to order a CD from the Manufacturer. it shouldnt cost a whole lot.

    I think you should be able to use the installation/recovery disk from a different dell computer.
