Price Comparison Websites

Hey everyone, I know this is more to the business side of the website, but I still figured I wouldn't get a proper answer anywhere else.

Does anyone know how Technology(Computers + such) Price comparison websites make money. Do they get a % of the sales brought to the website? Or is it a fixed monthly fee?

AFAIK it's usually commission based off sales (via affiliate agreement & browser cookie).

In the mean time if anyone's interested I came across this blog Supposedly it's referred to as "Price per Action" So it may not be a % of sales and more so a fixed fee?
