Shops open on St. Patrick's day

    Anyone know what the story is with shops opening on st. patrick's day?
    Are any of them opening early or will it be mainly after the parade?
    I know debenhams is open 2-6.

    Would imagine most are closed during the Parade.

    I think that the shops in Mahon Point will be open. Might be the same with the other shopping centres also.

    generally all of town is open from 2-6.

    The GPO is closed all day. Merchants quay will be open all day a friend has confirmed.
