16-03-2010 1:05pm#1The dept of communications SHOULD be rolled in with enterprise and trade if we are in any way serious about a knowledge economy.
Sadly the government has not recognised this necessity in its planned reconfiguration of the dept of enterprise planned for next week
Not putting the dept of communications into enterprise is analagous to creating a department to build a knowledge economy and leaving the plumbing of the knowledge economy to the mercy of whatever green magic pixie dust is occasionally sprinkled on it. How our competitors must laugh when they look at the mess .
In other words we continue to be doomed no matter how Cowen reconfigures the deckchairs
