Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I am going to Athens next month and wondering what are the best things to see and do in and around Athens for about 4-5 days?

What are the prices like for food and going out?

Is the weather warm there this time of year?

Last time I was in Athens in mid-April, the temperatures hit 30°C. For Athens, that is quite pleasant. It gets much hotter in the summer.

Eating out and drinks can be quite expensive. The Greeks talk a lot more and drink a lot less than Irish people. Try not to eat and drink in the popular tourist areas if you are watching the wallet. Also avoid the 'places to be seen in' bars and restaurants that the Greeks go to, buy one drink and stay there for hours because that place is 'in'. Drinks in such places are crazy prices!
