Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    I think he's brilliant.

Yes he can be a twat sometimes but some of the stuff he does is brilliant. And you can see how much he loves playing by how pumper up he always is.

I like him, on the pitch he gives you 100% on the pitch. Today's game could do with more players of his attitude and workrate.

Oh and this was just quality last August (1:00) :D

As a player....think he is very talented and would love him for Ireland

As a person, i really disliked him until he came out with this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pjhbv1UxjjU

i like him a little more after that!

    Body position is all wrong...

I don;t mind him. He winds people up on the pitch but he is a very decent footballer, works very hard for his team and seems like a very good bloke away from football (charity work). He is also a very honest guy when being interviewed - honest and straight with the fans. Overall, I like him. If he was at United, i would love him!

Love the man, loved him before Liverpool and love him after, just a genuine bloke, gets riled up on the pitch but who dosn't he just wears his heart on his sleeve and sometimes it overspills.

Great player and a great personality.

I quite enjoy him actually, just for amusement purposes. Wouldnt want him at my club as a player or as an influence.

A bit like Robbie Savage, he's a panto villan who's actually pretty good at his job and will probably do well in media after he quits. I quite like him.

Would love to have him back at Liverpool. Love his attitude on the pitch, and his workrate, plus he has the ability to go with it.

I absoutely love to hate him.

I'm a fan too, who doesn't love a violent yobbish Welshman who helps poor kids in Sierra Leone on his days off.

Honest decent bloke even when he's elbowing in the face your teams fullback and getting away with it.

I like the guy. Always thought he came across as honest and pretty genuine. In footballing terms he has a fantastic workrate, and the amount of clubs he's been at really belies his talent IMO.

Bellamy isnt nearly as annoying as Savage, plus he's twice the player.

    He's a bit of a plank TBH.
A decent player but I just cant take to him.
He pales in comparison to English lionheart John Terry, but that goes without saying.

    Glazers Out!

He's braindead (like most footballers) but I like him for the JT remark.

    Good player at times too.

where is the option for I would love him him if he was at my club?

best describes my opinion on him

absolute twat, but if he was on my team, riling up the opposition and their fans im sure id have a soft spot for him

If hes at your club you love him, hate the sight of him at another club though. You have to respect the mans workrate. Really chases down every ball with absolute conviction. Horrible to play against i'd imagine! I think it all stems from him absolutely hating loosing

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,612 ✭✭✭uncleoswald

    Grade A twat
He angers me, as in interviews he comes across as a sensible articulate guy, who cuts straight to the heart of whatever topic he is talking about. And I find myself nodding along in agreement and I say to whoever "you know what, Bellamy isn't a complete tool".

Then he goes off and acts like a complete tool.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 605 ✭✭✭PaddyTheNth

He's a gobby twat. Respect his workrate at City but I don't think I've ever seen a close up of him in a game where he isn't mouthing off...

He's basically the anti-ambassador for the game in terms of being a role model for kids.

I recognise his twatness, but I still actually like him

Rather him than a thounsand nondescript shearers and owens

he has done some good works for kids (less privelaged ones too)

im sure they would disagree with that comment

Just saw the title, didn't bother reading the thead..

Craig Bellamy is a fantastic player and a really decent bloke. He does so much for charity.

When you think of some of the players who play in this league, Bellamy's integrity rings true. I understand opponents hatred, but when i see him play for Liverpool and Man City, i just love it!

He's a great character and there's not many of them in the premiership anymore. Despised him before this season but he has really won me over which is something considering I hate Man City. He does a lot of good work in Sierra Leone, also used to visit a dying kid in hospital to spend time with him playing playstation with him etc. Loved it when the united fans tried to bottle him in the carling cup tie and he went at Rio ferdinand as if it was him that threw it, gas stuff.

Those comments he made about Terry were hilarious and true. When Terry reposnded "People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones", well Belleamy cetainly wouldn't fcuk his team-mates baby mother, he might just whack them with a golf club instead :D

Yeah, he rubs people up the wrong way and he comes across os a bit of a nutter but I love that. He's got a great competitive attitude and he knows how to get inside other players' heads when on the pitch.

He's also a very talented player.

He's great on the pitch and certainly isn't afraid to say what he truly thinks off of it!!

Love that about him, he owned JT with his comments and rightly so:D
He's an asset to any club (when he's not whacking people with golf clubs)and those who say he isn't are full of what he isn't which is BS:P

Yeah I remember that one. What a good interview tbf, the disappointment is tangible, he's not hiding behing cliches, and the slagging of the opposition, although futile (they just beat ye!) is actually kind of touching, in a strange way.
