Again- we're taking down what the electoral commission give us.
And quota is right- the number that the candidate must pass.
Quorum is the minimum number of votes required.

I assume they mean, number of votes that need to be yes for him to win. But yea, I see myk's point.

the number of yes votes he needs to win is whatever number is more than the no votes that he gets. :) Election pedantry rules. And I am very far from an expert.

The figures are being revised every now and then by the returning officer, so there sometimes is a bit of a discrepancy.

    SU President endorses bad spelling.

So this is what this thread has dwindled to..

Anyway, something which is election related, currently on life, trying to make sure i have the each candidates names right on http://daramcgann.com, and i find no mention of the current election or who's running anywhere, on top of that the most recent campus issue on the site is that of nominations week.. Ok life is a dead site but come on guys, a small bit of effort would be nice..

It could be possible that there was no 2nd or 3rd preference on Dara's vote, hence the difference...

 or it could possibly be he mixed up the names and dara wasn't eliminated by having the most votes...

I'm guessing that landa2 put Dara's name where Jackie's should have been and vice-versa, as Dara was eliminated on the first count. A hard thing to do when you have the most votes...

Ah I still think my point is valid as I think there is a difference in Dara's transfer votes and what was actually transferred..

    Total to be transferred: 118
    Total Transferred: 93

Otherwise I'm in the wrong course....
