Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Thought this was a clever trick by Heineken:

Never put your girlfriend or boss ahead of the football! ;)

    These blokes arent really blokes.

They are pathetic, spineless, wimpy, gaylord, under the thumb excuses for human life.

    FOOTBALL COMES FIRST.

The lads weren't deprived of any football, they got to see the match in the end.

Yeah but think of the days of torture they went through in the build up.. :)

It reminds me of the Rovers Gossip thread where some poor unfortunate was planning to miss the first game in Tallaght to go to dinner :(

The guy with his hand to is mouth at about 3:47 is hilarious. Everybody is laughing and clapping and he is there stone faced and thinking "baxtards", I missed a session because of this.

Haha, amazing! What an excellent bit of publicity from Heineken. At first I thought it was a bit cruel to make so many people miss the game as part of a marketing stunt, but the end was really great and the applause and cheering shows how much 'the game' means to everyone.

Surely the girlfriends would have just gone to it together instead of 'forcing' their boyfriends to miss the match to listen to poetry. Doesn't make sense.

When was the last time a woman did anything sensible when it comes to making her man miss football.
