Hi, I'm travelling to New York next month and I'm wondering if I buy an iPhone over there will it work back here? Also are they much cheaper over there? Thanks.

have you bought one there?

iirc you cannot buy a 3GS model without a Social Security Number in the USA. i certainly couldnt buy one last Dec in the Apple shop on 5th Ave.
