Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Really impressive display from Inter, loads o credit to Jose for going to the bridge and actually playing football. Malouda & possible Zhirkov were the only Chelsea players to step up to the plate a bit.

    good save.

in fairness the red card wasnt too hard to call considering the last two times they lost in the Champions League (Barca f**king disgrace and Utd slap).

The words 'sore loser' spring to mind.

    See ya Chelsea

We do miss him but the tactics for Europe are crap too imo.

Champions league down to just Barca and United in my opinion.

Wow, there's Frank Lampard at the final whistle! First time I saw him in about an hour.

    cant believe that tbh

Id put inter as realistic contenders for the CL, superb team & squad with great manager

WTF could JT possibly be saying to the ref at the end?

Best Inter team in years in fairness, and they'd spank the **** out of Spurs.

Inter deserved every bit of that. Made money off it an all, good times.

This is ridiculous. Inter have managed to slyly cheat away the last 9 minutes.

In fairness, the ref could've blown full time ten minutes ago without any difference in the result.

I know but as a neutral watchign a game offootball it's poxy to watch. I hate that sort of crap.

    Believe what you want.

They surrendered a massive lead in the Serie A. Barca breezed them in the groups without actually even trying.

Absolutely delighted with that result. Inter looked superior in every respect. Sneijder had one of those performances that you only see once in a while. his back heel to set an attack up mid way through 2nd half was the best pass this season for me. Inter look serious contenders tonight on that performance. Nobody in the EPL made Chelsea look that ordinary for a long long time.

What the f**k was that See You Next Tuesday John Terry whinging about at the end of the game? You'd swear the sending off changed the outcome.

They are such a classy side.

What odds on a return of the prodigal in the summer when Mourinho gets his od job back??

Liverpool stuffed United that last several times they met. Are United average? Your logic is completely flawed.

Inter will be there or there abouts, I wouldn't in any way fancy Utd to beat them.

I agree that they were good tonight but they've been pretty average anytime I've seen them previously. Plus they're only a point ahead of Milan in Serie A. And Milan are pants!

ya so what, they'll still win the league, they probably had their thoughts on the CL tie and took their eye off Serie A

didnt inter beat ac milan 2-0 with 9 men, it was like a walk in the park for them iirc

Inter are not a great team, they are a solid team however, and I would be very confident of united getting past them if drawn against them

They have players who can threaten of course, but overall they are not a great team

I'm not sure I agree, but it must help. I don't know who supports anyone,
bar what they've said in this thread. Disappointed Chel fan here too :(

They're 1 point ahead in an awful Serie A. In fact, they have done everything possible to lose the league but still will win it, gives an idea of the quality of Italian football at the moment.

No mention of Barca? Barca or Man. United would give them a hiding, and I really don't like Man. United.

Yup .This is our best chance, if in the CL I think we fade.

On a bit of a side note. Sneijder is a criminally underrated player. Every time I see him play he is awesome. A real live wire who always creates chances.

When Greece won the Euros they were solid and nothing else, this Inter side will cause problems for any team, would like Inter V Utd Mourunhio V Fergie, toss of a coin between them I think.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,625 ✭✭✭✭Johner

Well done Inter, deserved to win by more than a goal tonight, they were much the better side. We lacked ideas, creativity and looked very average but it's not the first time I've said this after a game this season. Overall we have been poor and we are just lucky United have been equally as ****e. Any other season we would probably be out of the title race. We will never win the Champions League with this ageing side. I'm gutted to go out tonight but we didn't deserve to go through.
