Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Question regarding A2 and A license and age

Well in most EU countries (this apparently being an EU regulation), the necessesity to drive for 2 years on an A2 license (the restricted one) can be waived. If the applicant is above a certain age (21 in the UK, France, Austria, 25 in Germany, etc) at the time of the test taken.

Can't find any info on how that EU regulation is handled in Ireland and what age you need to get an A directly without "sitting out" the A2 limitation time.

    Help appreciated :)

(I'm almost 37 and like to capitalize on that :) )

    Bad news

Ireland did not go for any 'direct access'.

You have to do the two years.

If you have access to a UK address and are willing to bend a few thruths you can go DA in the England/Scotland/Wales, AFAIK NI has tougher rules for appling for licences.

But from reading in the press their bike testing is in a right mess. With only a small number of test centres for stage one as they forgot to convert to imperial measurements when they implemented the new EU test.
