One the best albums I've ever bought is the Studio Ghibli Collection in Paris 4ish years ago..

Honestly, Joe Hisaishi is simply my favourite composer. The scores he's done with Miyazaki and Kitano are certainly some of the most memorable, touching and just downright outstanding pieces of music to ever accompany a film.

I have his Budokan gig on DVD, it's well worth getting. I also have Joe Hisaishi & 9 Cellos, which is absolutely tremendous if you can get it.

Hell yes! Shamefully, I'm not so familiar with his work outside of the Studio Ghibli spectrum, will look into that when I get a chance.
