Upgradeing CPU

    Looking to upgrade my E4600 CPU for something a bit better with out 'bottle-necking' any of the other components:


    Dell Vostro 200
    Intel Core2 Duo CPU E4600
    Windows Vista Ultimate
    Sapphire Radeon HD 5670 1GB
    500GB Hard Drive
    4GB RAM

    Also want to know how much difference it will make to the performance of my PC.

    whats your mobo?

    performance increase in what? games? video encoding? browsing? for games the gfx card is ****, so i doubt you would notice much for games

    As for the cpu upgrade the intel 8 series for core 2 are great, especially for overclocking.

    If you want a big performance in games id suggest a 5770 and a cpu cooler, overclock the cpu and enjoy the extra performance.
