Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

On my XP pc, I'm having a nightmare with my internet connection. It works fine on my laptop so i know its not NTL.

Basically, i use chrome and a lot of the time when I click a link it says "Resolving Host" for ages before the page loads, that's if it loads at all. it;s got a lot worse recently. IE, Firefox and Safari fail to load pages often now. Last night I was 20 minutes trying to get to one site. I have it connected to the router via RJ45, but also alternate between my wireless card as well, makes no difference.

The strange thing is that Skype and MSN connect fine, and I can download with p2p etc, its just the web browsing.

How would I go about completely reinstalling anything to do with networking/connections so i can see if that helps?

    Any other suggestions?
    Thanks

Sounds like its DNS problems. Skype and Messenger probably connect using the appropriate IP address.right click on your connection and choose properties select Internet protocol and choose properties. make sure the obtain DNS server address automatically is checked. You may have DNS addresses set manually which are incorrect ones.

Thanks, yes I've tried a few variations of that, using NTL's dns, Google's DNS and also Obtain Automatically. Doesn't seem to make much difference... ?
