Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Dear friends,

    Is there anywhere online that I can get book prices or as near as for a given vehicle?

    I'd like to be able to compare prices between Ireland and UK. I can look at carzone and autotrader but there tends to be quite a variation on a given vehicle even when it has similar years/miles to others etc.

    i.e. 2003 Corolla 1.4vvt1 / 80k / mint / pmo / nct

    What would be the most accurate way of finding the average price for this?

    Many thanks

    Why would you want to find the average price and not the market price? Also why use carzone and autotrader?

    That's an excellent question. One I don't have an answer to. I'd have a price in mind, but that doesn't stop headbangers asking for twice that amount for the same car. Example;

    http://cars.buyandsell.ie/search/image_preview?pid=1261217
    Or
    http://cars.buyandsell.ie/search/image_preview?pid=1252928

    Really I think a car dealer or salesman is the only one who can answer this one. Someone who has sold a few similar cars in the last number of months.

    The Corolla above is just an example off the top of my head. It could be any car / year / condition. My question is generic I guess.

    How do you determine the market price of a given car?
