Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    I've a sky+box with a few recordings on it.
I'm visiting a friends house who dont have sky or a satellite.
I brought my sky+box to view my recordings on my friends tv via a scart lead.
However, even though the main menu comes up i cannot access my recored programs.
    Any hints?

The sky+ box will only work if you have a Sky+ subscription, Your friend doesn't!

There's nothing you can do if it's not connected to a sat dish.

    Thanks
I dont want to watch any "live" tv, just want to access my recorded programs. I'm dying here, my friends only have RTE & TV3:eek:
Would accessing the hidden menu help?

Is the card still in the box? They won't play back if it's not.

Full details as to how to access the TV channels from the Astra Satellites can be found in the Receiver Manual supplied with the product. These supply most of the popular English language programmes that are watched.

Type Satellite name ‘Eurobird 1’ in table.
    Longitude type in ’28.5’
LNB Freq L type in ‘05150’
LNB Freq H type in ‘11300’
    22k tone OFF
    DiseqC OFF
    DiseqC1.2 OFF
    Then Press OK to Save.
There are many other Satellites with thousands of foreign language programs that can be accessed using the Ross Satellite Kit. For a full list of satellites go to www.lyngsat.com

Yeah, it's normal. No signal for more than a couple of hours normally, and the sky+ box effectively locks itself down. Absolutely nothing you can do other than to reconnect it to a dish pointed at 28.2 East.
