Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi my mouse has a mind of its own!!! I had to delete a synaptics point thing as it was freezing my firewall, was told if I really needed it it would reinstall!!!

It hasn't and my mouse while typing will hop all over the place, I touch type so not always looking at the screen as I may (like now) watch TV while typing and it just goes whereever it wants and is driving me nuts as I have a 15000 word Thesis to do on it!!!!!!!!!! Its a laptop and I do not touch the touch pad while typing!

How do I fix this!Help please!!

Happens me all the time on some laptops. the touch area is quite sensitive and always sends my cursor everywhere. Its a pain in the ass. Maybe use an external mouse and disasble the touchpad?

Most laptops have the option to Disable the trackpad. Its the ONLY way to get any typing done. Your palms always, always, hit it. Hence the function to disable the pad. In many cases its a button on the pad itself (like on HP laptops)

What really, really gets it riled up though, is tap to click. Its a horrible feature. Why everyone uses it I do. not. know. But disable it in your synaptics driver. Yes you now have to use the Left-click button like a NORMAL PERSON (im ranting at Society as a whole here) but you wont cause the typing cursor to reposition itself halfway up the page while youre in mid sentence.

Trust me on this one. Its the fix I issue most often and damned if I should start charging for it, the way firends and family come calling to me, thinking theyve downloaded a virus. No Barbara - Its your fcuking trackpad :) case dismissed.
