Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Cheap and cheerfull. I wouldn't buy it. You'd be better off with just the hose and your tumb over it for a jet wash.

For 12 quid I think you may already know the answer

Get 2 buckets from woodies and a microfibre wash mit, with a descent car shampoo. Then follow this proceedure.
    Hose down any loose dirt.

Two Bucket Methond - one with car shampoo in it, the other fresh water!

Dip the mitt - not a sponge, into the bucket with car shampoo, starting on the roof, clean half of it. Always work from the areas of least dirt to areas of most dirt

Return to fresh water bucket and rinse mitt out - ring out the mitt into the bucket.

Dip into the car shampoo bucket and clean other half of the roof

Back to fresh water bucket to rinse

    Dip into shampoo bucket

    Continue panel by panel......
Preferably using a different mitt or sponge on the wheels, bumpers!!

Fresh water bucket may become very dirty if the car is flithy, and if id does - should be emptied and refilled with more fresh water if it gets very dirty!

Once car is fully washed with mitt - hose down until all the suds are gone
Then dry with i Mircofibre drying towel

ROFL That's not a pressure washer, it's a pressure sprayer for spraying plants with pesticides etc.

Ush1, seriously don't bother this is a pressure sprayer, only thing its good for is spreading weedkiller or plant feed. Certainly not for washing a car! Just follow Hal1's method for a good clean. You can get 2 buckets in B&Q for €3 and a good washmit in Halfords for €6

I was actually wondering for washing the underside and engine bay of the car.

If you do ever see a pressure washer for sale in Aldi/Lidl stay away. I got one and it lasted less than a year. It still works but the pressure has dropped and the pump is fooked!

Get a Kärcher. They are pricey but well worth it.

I wouldn't be using any kind of washer in the engine bay tbh. You'll do more damage than good.

Pack of wipes and take your time if you're realy that bothered

Would say the opposite myself. Got one of the Aldi ones (re-branded karcher), works great. Plus I think it has a 3 year warranty

I've washed it before with a proper pressure washer. Does no harm. Cover the alternator, bit of WD40 over the electrical connections, degreaser over everything else and spray. Obviously not very high pressure as you may blast off cables and such.

Mit or towel, sponge will scratch it.

Flow rate is half a litre per minute, at 2.5 bar.

Home-grade power washer would be 35 litres a minute at around 110 bar.

You would have a better flow rate after a nite on the beer :pac:.
