Buying a SIM free mobile

    I am thinking of buying a sim free handset, probably an HTC model.
    Are there any independent bricks and mortar mobile shops apart from Carphone Warehouse? Also can anybody recommend an online shop. Would O2, Vodafone etc sell me a mobile sim free?

    You can buy online from uk or few irish shops. Some are listed in the FAQ

    Networks dont sell handsets advertised as 'sim free'. Sometimes the handsets are unlocked though, especially the first batch they sell.
