Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

thanks for that. as i thought, a struggling wit injuries, in a struggling team, Torres is still a match for anyone. exceptional player.

The stats for Torres are better, considering how good looking he is

Where did you get those stats?

They were posted on another forum when I googled goals/min ratio.

    Can't find anything else concrete.

I suspect they might be league only stats

    nice skill from Babel.

loses it due to no support.

works his ass off and gets it back.

i continue to like the attitude.

Well they are definitely league only stats.
I was genuinely curious if a site with stats like that exists though.

what i don't understand is why Kuyt and Babel don't switch wings.
With Kuyt, you'll lose little on the left - he's not going to beat his man on the outside anyway. Babel could have another dimension on the RW

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,372 ✭✭✭✭Mr Alan

i remember finding a site where it listed the minutes played among the players stats. Can't remember it though, sorry, does exist though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,369 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

there is no need to be kicking the ball long.

seriously lads, there's no pressure on the ball from them.

Couldn't agree more. Babel can operate on both and has the ability to cause the problems Kuyt can't on that side. Ten mins there might see a cross or two lead to the third.

    And yes league stats only

any sign that Lille are gonna plunder a 89th minute goal to crush morale a bit lower?

ffs, the commentators started this 'Lille have done nothing and Liverpool have been much the better side' at about this stage last week too, then once Lille scored they had 'great tactics' and deserved the win.

The way Liverpools season has gone we desperately need the 3rd goal, before they score the sucker punch goal in last 5 minutes.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,133 ✭✭✭Stevecw

Dropping too deep now, we have lost that new signing the attacking adventurous Lucas guy we had in 1st half...now we just have the defensive guy who is giving the ball away a bit too often.

Well afraid of a sneaky Lille goal in last 20 mins, its heading that way

    nah.

    they're pretty toothless.

so yeah, i fancy them to get one.

Insua is giving me the odd nightmare now and again.

Assuming Torres plays the full 90 tonight and doesn't score again, his minutes per goal stat is 2072 mins played (just over 23 full games) 16 goals scored => one goal every 129 mins so far this season

Assuming a full 90 tonight and no more goals, he has scored 66 goals in 111 appearances for Liverpool.

He has played 8424 mins for Liverpool (the equivalent of just over 93 and a half games). He has scored an average of a goal every 127 mins on the pitch.

That would've been a good goal from Lille. Certainly not out of it although that has been their only meaningful attempt of the second half.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 25,953 ✭✭✭✭kryogen

Im sorry pool fans, i only asked cause i think with the winning line in site that ye might get a bit too defensive and invite pressure

so wondering if it has happened yet, might not get to see the end of the match :(

Insua looking dodgy alright but he generally does imo.

Need 1 more goal to ease the nerves

  • Moderators, Category Moderators, Recreation & Hobbies Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 33,312 CMod ✭✭✭✭ShamoBuc

They only need one, and they will get another few half chances before the finish

  • Moderators, Category Moderators, Recreation & Hobbies Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 33,312 CMod ✭✭✭✭ShamoBuc

Insua is normally very good going forward... defensively.... well he is good going forward!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,369 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

i have to credit to Insua there, did his job well.

    lads, this is sh*t.

the midfield are not demanding the ball to settle it down.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,372 ✭✭✭✭Mr Alan

insua did well there. lucas babel and kuyt need to start playin like they did in the first half.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,133 ✭✭✭Stevecw

This will be a long 15 mins. Last 5 felt like about 20 already.
Never feel safe when Insua is there, we need to go get the 3rd & finish it...not sit back invite them on.
